About Kona
The Kona Guitar as with all the Kona models is a high quality guitar for a very good price. Every model has a Nato Back and Sides with a Spruce Top, lesser priced models have a laminated spruce top the higher end models are solid spruce. They all have a Bound Rosewood Fretboard and a Rosewood Bridge. Enclosed, Die-cast Machine Heads and a Full Binding on Body & Neck. Many come with a Satin Finish but they are available in too many colors and finishes to mention here including a Natural Finish.
K1 Series Acoustic Dreadnought Cutaway Guitar is the #1 selling guitar in its class. Simple and sturdy, this model has proven to be a work horse and a favorite amongst beginners and seasoned professional musicians alike. Whether your are just starting up or needing a sturdy, easy playing guitar with a clean tone and classic look, the K1 blows away all other guitars in its price range.
Like a great solo, sometimes less is more. Kona Guitars reflects the same subtle simplicity as the Kona Guitar Company's long tradition of excellence itself. With this guitar, traditional in no way equals "average". The cutaway dreadnought shape, mahogany / nato back and sides, spruce top, and transparent colors all bring this basic yet well rounded guitar to life for players and guitar admirers of all calibers.
The Kona guitar presents you with crystal clear highs and a rich enveloping bass presence which far surpasses other guitars in its class. Designed to bring the subtle nuances of your playing to life, while giving you the room to strum out bold, bottom-end rhythms as well.
Nickel frets top a true rosewood fret board, giving this guitar lightning-fast play response, and Kona's custom-shaped bridge and headstock designs will more than set you apart on stage. This solid workhorse was designed for the no nonsense guitarist. The Kona K1 is only flashy where it counts...in the tone.
Having owned and played much more expensive guitars like Fender, Gibson, Ovation and Alvarez, the Kona guitar I now enjoy is every bit as good if not better than guitars costing up to ten times as much. The fit and finish of this guitar is excellent and the playability is above average when compared to other guitars such as the ones named above.
Whether you are a novice player or, like me, you make you living playing guitar, you will love the easy action of this handcrafted guitar. I can whole heartedly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a instrument to learn how to play or to take it on stage night after night. You cannot go wrong with the Kona Guitar.
